Volunteer Opportunities

In addition to occasional paid positions, Haldimand Art Works also has a number of volunteer positions available.  These jobs can provide you with valuable experience in a non-profit environment, including areas such as customer service, fundraising, special events planning, and marketing/promotion.

Customer Service Representative/ Gallery & Gift Shop: This is a volunteer position for individuals who wish to invest a few hours a week working with visitors who come to view and purchase  art and fine crafts in the gallery/gift shop. In addition to customer service duties, CSR's take on additional tasks which interest them such as development of marketing materials, fielding inquiries, developing and maintaining data bases, developing displays, etc.. This position provides a wonderful opportunity to learn about retail operations and to develop customer service, display and basic computer skills. Committee Volunteers: If you wish to invest your time in a different way, there are opportunities to get involved with committees of Haldimand Art Works operated by the Board of Directors. Committees normally meet monthly and there are usually a small number of tasks for committee members between meetings. Normally, committee involvement should take no more than 5 hours a month.
