Haldimand Art Works provides a range of affordable courses and workshops, emphasizing a friendly, personalized, small class approach.  These are run throughout the year in three semesters: Winter, Spring and Fall. There are also summer camps for children and workshops throughout the year for adults and children alike.  Winter courses for children and adults  are described below. March Break Camp

for Children 6 - 12

March 12 - 16

A fun-filled week for your children with an emphasis on the arts! Children will have an opportunity to experience and explore a wide variety of art techniques and media to develop their “inner artist”. Click here for details.

Winter:

 

Adult Classes:  Level 2 - Figure Drawing

Thursday evenings, January 12 to February 16

6:30  p.m.  –  8:00 p.m. at Shared Harvest Community Farm

 

A 6 week introduction to drawing the human figure.  Students will work with different drawing media and focus on body structure, proportion and contour. Live models will be incorporated as possible into the sessions. Completion of Level 1 Introduction to Art preferred but not necessary.  

 

$80 (supplies included)

 

Children’s Introduction to Art : Level 2    

Saturday mornings, January 14 to February 18

 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Shared Harvest Community Farm (no class Saturday, May 21 due to long weekend)

Continuing from and building on theory and practice from Level 1, children will continue to experiment with different media. 

 

$70 (supplies included) Completion of Level 1 preferred but not necessary.

 

*NOTE: All classes have to have a minimum enrolment to run. We reserve the right to shift the start date of a class  by a week or so to permit a class to run.

 

Knit Club 101

Saturdays  from 1 - 2:30 p.m. at Haldimand Art Works. Minimum  2 sessions payable in advance. Pre-register by calling 905-772-7000.

 

A beginners' knitting circle with a maximum of 10 people - for anyone, 5 years and up through adult. Sessions start with corking (French knitting) and will advance according to to individual skill development.

 

$15 per session. Materials will be supplied for a $10 materials fee payable the first class (there may be additional materials fees as an individual advances.)
