Annual Art and Fine Craft Auction

Annual Auction 2011

2011 marked our eleventh annual fine art and fine craft auction, which is our principal fund raiser each year in support of arts programming for children and families.

In 2011, the auction was held at Flyers Cafe in Dunnville and featured both a silent auction and a live auction under the capable gavel of Buck Sloat (thanks Buck) with:

·         Original art        

·         Fine craft

·         A wide variety of non-art items donated by local merchants and individuals

·         Home made goodies for dining and snacking pleasure

·         Gift certificates

A feature of the evening was the live auction of 2 of Haldimand Art Works' famous hand-painted garden benches, designed and built by Cliff Lilliman and artistically decorated by Frances Porter and Rosemary Lamothe and Natalie Stonehouse. This year, a hand-painted and decorated chair and antique ironing board (both donated by Cheryl Bishop of Flyers Cafe) were added to this unique offering of original art. Thanks to Jody Orr and Tracey Stone!

The evening included hors d’ouevres, a cash bar and, as always,  lots of fun.
